DSC_1173   My name is Jason Gibbons. I’ve been a member of the Open Bible Baptist Church in Bath, Maine, an independent bible believing baptist church, for over 20 years.  I play for a comedy basketball team called the Harlem Legends. I have been performing and speaking in schools for over 8 years now.  I believe that my  greatest responsibility is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. When I was a 10 year old boy, someone took the bible out and shared with me how that my sins were paid for on the cross over 2,000 years ago.  I am so glad that I put my trust in Jesus that day.  While I have certainly made my share of mistakes over the years, I know that I’ll have a home in heaven some day because of the decision I made over 20 years ago to accept Christ’s payment on the cross for my sins.  My hope is to share that gospel message with as many people as I possibly can.

Partnering with ‘Teens of America’.  It’s been an incredible honor to work with local churches to reach young people, all over the nation, with the gospel, the most important message that they will ever hear! I also work very closely with ‘Teens of America’ which is a non profit outreach organization.  T.O.A. was founded by my good friend, Sean Mulroney. His ministry and character based educational programs have been a huge inspiration to all that I do.  Many churches have worked with Sean over the years to resource schools as well as reach the students in their area with the gospel.  Sean and I work a lot together in schools all over the country, through the support of local churches, to reach young people with a powerful program that consists of, a cutting edge curriculum, power point presentations and so much more!   Through the host church, T.O.A. has formed many chapters in the communities that we have worked with, to provide thorough follow up programs that we hope will help people for years to come.  It’s been an honor to work with Sean and train under him in recent years.

My roots: I had the privilege of traveling with the great Dr. Joe M. Boyd for four summer tours and one winter.  I ran his children’s ministry in all of those meetings.  I treasure the years I spent with Dr. Boyd and I still use the tools that he gave me during those years.  His ministry has seen many thousands accept Jesus as their savior and my years along side that great man of God were some of the greatest years of my life!

Showtime basketball has proven be such a powerful tool to set the table for the gospe. I’m extremely humbled that God would use me to help reach one of the great untapped mission fields… America’s public schools.

Hammond Indiana:

As a former student at Hyles-Anderson College it was an honor to come back and work with First Baptist in Hammond Indiana back in April of 2012. We worked with RUSA and held 27 assemblies with 34 schools represented. We were able to reach close to 27,000 young people throughout the week with a positive message!  We had 2,500 show up for the rally where many decisions were made.

The above video was from a youth rally in Indiana with RUSA and Hyles-Anderson College.

MY Testimony:

I shared my testimony here after performing for Rick Finley’s Youth Conference at Fellowship Baptist Church of Durham North Carolina, back in May of 2012.

My Message

In this interview I give my testimony and explain exactly how my ministry operates. I also share how that others can get into the public schools in their area.  If you are considering bringing me in to hold a meeting, youth conference or a public school youth rally, I encourage you to take a look at this video.  This is the most informative piece of media that I have because I take the time to explain where I stand doctrinally.

DALLAS TEXAS ON DECEMBER 15th:

I was given the opportunity to return to Dallas Texas in December of 2012 to once again share the gospel with the needy, just before Christmas.

The video below is from Operation Care’s work in Dallas back in 2010. It is very powerful and explains the ministry of Operation Care.  At the very end you will see an excerpt from my performance outside of the Dallas convention center that day as well.

The above video has music by 8 year old gospel singer Rhema Marvanne, who performed here in 2010 as well.

The tail end of this video details a special meeting that my girls had a hand in.

Here’s my memory of that day:

“As thousands began to fill in the registration line in Dallas Texas on December 18th, 2010, my eyes were opened to some things that I had never seen before.  The blistering cold winters here in Maine force the homeless to warmer climates so I had never seen the issue of homelessness up close and personal before.  I was completely unprepared for what I was about to witness over the next few hours.  As I made my way through a sea of people to get to the children’s area to do some tricks for the kids, who were waiting in line there, I saw some things that will stay with me forever.  Families huddled together in the cold with nothing more than the clothes on their back.  I saw homeless veterans who once gave their all to this country, waiting in designated lines to receive special gifts, wearing the scars of wars, without shoes on their feet or even coats on their back.  I was very moved as I saw the face of the homeless issue for the very first time.

Words can not express what it meant to me to have a hand in the things that went on that day.  On top of all of the amazing things that they did that day for the homeless, I’ll never forget the honor I had to share the gospel with the 8 to 10,000, who had nothing else to do except listen to me because they were standing in the long lines outside, as they wait to get into the arena.  Many raised their hands to say that they accepted Jesus as their savior that day!  I’m so excited to be able to work with this ministry once again!  Thank you all for your prayers.

Jason Gibbons

To be clear:  ‘Teens of America’  and ’Future Champions of America’ deliver strictly educational and character based messages.  While we sometimes seek the support of local churches and other local outreach organizations to host us while we are reaching out to the schools in their community, we are very conscious not to endorse any type of political or religious messages inside the schools that have booked with us.
